The Mohican MTB 100, which starts 7 a.m. May 16, 2026, promises to be a thrilling race, according to Ryan O’Dell, founder and director of the Ohio Mountain Bike Championship series.

“It’s looking like good weather Thursday, Friday and Saturday,” O’Dell said. “I’ve been hoping that we would have our first dry race in four years.”

Several of the world’s top professional riders will visit Mohican State Park in Loudonville, Ohio, for the race.

The event features 100-mile, 100K and 50K races.

All races will begin 7 a.m. May 16 in downtown Loudonville with a mass rolling start.

Registration and packet pick up will be 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. May 15 at Mohican Adventures. Last-minute packets can be picked up 6 a.m. May 16, but no race-day registration will be allowed.

The race will finish at Mohican Adventures, 3058 Ohio 3 in Loudonville.

Riders familiar with the course will notice that more than ¼ mile of trail will be rerouted because of a logging project.

“I brought back the lower trail along the fence line that we used to use 20 years ago,” O’Dell said. “That’s a horse trail. Everyone’s going to love it.”

The race director has been on the trails for the past several weeks making sure the course is ready for the big race.

“The trail should be in really good shape,” O’Dell said. “If it’s dry, I think it will be a fast race.”
