Dave Walker, 47, of Cleveland, won the 2026 Mohican MTB 50K race in 2:41:28.3.
Walker is a five-time OMBC championship winner.
“Everybody in Ohio knows this guy,” said Ryan O’Dell, founder and director of the Ohio Mountain Bike Championship series. “I’m just so stoked that you’re here.”
The winner said he was happy to be back in Loudonville, Ohio, for another OMBC event.
“Ryan is a legend,” Walker said. “He made something out of absolutely nothing in Ohio, and these races are here because of Ryan.”
The race winner said the 2026 course “was awesome.”
“Very fast. Dry. Incredibly well marked,” Walker said. “Tons of competition. It was really hard getting away and then staying out there.”

Other top finishers in the 2026 Mohican MTB 50K
Owen Witt was second overall in the 2026 Mohican MTB 50K and first in the Juniors 15-18 category with a time of 2:45:42.88.
Sean Thibeault was third overall and first in the Men’s 50+ category with a time of 2:45:44.69.
Casey McCauley was fourth overall and first in the Singlespeed category with a time of 2:45:54.52.
Kristy Glanc of Hinckley, Ohio, won the Women’s Open category with a time of 4:05:30.02.
