Athletes and crews in the 2026 Mohican Trail Run this weekend should remember aid stations have stopped providing cups.
“The race will be cupless for cold beverages,” Race Director Ryan O’Dell said. “Everyone will receive a HydraPak reusable cup.”
Race organizers encourage athletes to carry their new reusable cups during events of all distances.
Aid stations will continue offering cups for broth, coffee, ramen and other hot edibles.

The forecast for May 30 promises to be sunny with a high of 72 and a low of 47 at Mohican State Park in Loudonville, Ohio.
Fire Tower aid station changes
Families and crews should know the aid station at the Mohican State Park Fire Tower will be in front of the structure.
“No crew or family parking there, but parking is available at the nearby attention center and mountain bike trailhead,” O’Dell said. “Crews can meet their runners at the MTB trailhead to reduce any potential for congestion at Fire Tower. No race parking signs will be posted there.”

Last-minute registration still available
Prices for the race will be $310 for 100 miles, $210 for 50 miles and $125 for 26.2 miles.
Competitors in the 100- and 50-mile races may register in-person May 29, during packet pickup. Runners in the 26.2-mile Mohican Marathon may register through May 30, the morning of the event
For those who may need to cancel, the race will refund half of the registration fee until May 10; no refunds will be made after May 10.
Transfers can only be made online while registration is open, according to race organizers.
“Because racers often do not know how their bodies will perform until just before race day, switching to a shorter distance is allowed,” race policy states. “There is no refund of the difference in entry fee. You must let us know at packet pickup. No race day changes allowed. Please do not email or call to switch distances.”
